Tonight I’m enjoying some green bottle Jack with my favorite mixer, ice.

My liver is tired, all it wants is water tonight. That’s not always the case.

Diet Coke. Hey, I’m still at work.

THE PAMPLEMOUSSE JUICE
I also have some Jefferson’s Reserve on hand if it turns into that kind of evening.

Trader Joe’s Blonde Ale- very Belgian like.

Wicked Weed Southern Ambrosia. It’s like someone made beer out of berries instead of wheat. It’s the best.

I’ve never seen or heard of it.

I don’t know what a pamplemouse is but, I don’t think we should be juicing them.

The regular Knob Creek is one of my go-to drinks usually, I was just feeling a little cheap.

Like Leffe?

is it like a sour?

Been fighting a cold for a week and a half now, so just some tea tonight.

It’s good. It’s super sweet but also has a bit of a bite.

Iunno what a sour is. It’s beer, but it’s got an almost wine-like fruitiness.

Don’t worry, my current bottle was a birthday gift. I will normally do Gentleman Jack if I don’t wanna spend all that much, or plain ol’ Jack if I want things done on the cheap.

mmm yes - almost floral? Love it.

Ballast Point Sculpin (IPA) and thinking about a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. One of my favorite seasonals...

Sculpin is good, just way too expensive out here in Jersey. I’ll keep in eye out for the Sierra though, I love their Tropical Torpedo

Not that light, the berry flavor is very heavy.

I’m crushing some Tecates right now

A friend brought over the Sculpin; I agree on the price.
What I like most about the Sierra (besides it being good) is that it’s widely available and not overpriced. I picked up a 12 of the Celebration Ale for $12.99 at the grocery store. A 12 of Coors Light is 9.99.
Meanwhile, it’s probably 10.99 for a 6-er of Sculpin.
So yeah, Sierra is my go-to “good” beer. A co-worker just went to Alchemist, so I have Heady Topper and some others in the fridge, too. I’ll save those for the weekend.

Reminded me of a trapist ale. Very light but spiced and 7.5%

Wouldn’t that be from their Funkatorium?
![]() 11/15/2017 at 22:25 |

A couple of mezcal cocktails after work for a start. We’ll see what happens next.

Mezcal and mescaline, two things that turn your night strange in a hurry.

I don’t know what that is but I’m at a bar in Boston.

Wicked Weed is out of Asheville and they have a sub-brewery called The funkatorium that only does sours. Very good sours.

As it turns out: a very short workout and then Thai food and a lot of good white wine. So pretty normal for me, ultimately.

Iunno what a sour is. It’s beer, but it’s got an almost wine-like fruitiness.
A sour is a type of beer that uses bacteria to create a sour flavor (much like yogurt or sour cream). You might also see it called a gose (pronounced like go-say).
What you were drinking sounds like a lambic:

Celebration is good. I still miss new belgium’s snow day though which they stopped making years ago and replaced with something else I can’t recall the name of.
